Suncity Group Continues to Support Macau Holy House of Mercy’s Welfare Shop

Suncity Group has always been committed to support Macao's public welfare affairs. This year, the Group is continuing its support for the Macau Holy House of Mercy’s Welfare Shop and the disadvantaged through donations.

 

Alvin Chau, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Suncity Group, and Gina Lei, Senior Vice President of Public and Social Relations, presented a cheque for MOP 300,000 to the Macau Holy House of Mercy, which was received by President of the Board of Trustees of Macau Holy House of Mercy, António José de Freita; President of the General Union of the Neighbourhood Associations of Macau Leong Heng Kao and Vice Chairman of Macao Federation of Trade Unions Lam Heong Sang, witnessed the presence.

 

Subsequently, Alvin Chau, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Suncity Group, together with volunteers from the Group handed “food hampers” to more than 300 disadvantaged households. With the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival, the Group also presented Mooncakes to each household in order to express their wishes to the recipients in advance.

 

Since its establishment in 2013, Macau Holy House of Mercy’s Welfare Shop has been distributing ”food hampers” to disadvantaged households every month. Alvin Chau, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Suncity Group, said that the Group will continue to support the project so that the effort can continue to benefit more people in the community. In addition, the Group will continue to work with charities to provide more long-term efforts to assist those in need.
